Invest in Women Taskforce’s 2026 Manifesto
2026-09-27
We’re proud to see the Invest in Women Taskforce’s 2026 Manifesto, Driving Lasting Change, published – and so much of it resonates with what we are building at Mint Ventures.
The message is clear: if we want to unlock the full potential of women-led businesses, we need to look not only at who receives investment, but who is making investment decisions.
That is at the heart of what we do.
At Mint Ventures, we believe more women should have the opportunity to become investors, understand early-stage investing and have a voice in where capital goes.
We’re creating a community where women can learn about angel investing, build confidence, assess opportunities and invest alongside other women – because increasing the number of women at the investment table can help broaden the businesses and founders being considered.
The Taskforce Manifesto identifies five areas for action:
🔹 Designing investment policy with gender balance in mind
🔹 Improving investment outcomes through better representation
🔹 Increasing transparency around where capital goes
🔹 Modernising tax incentives to help close the gap
🔹 Expanding education, awareness and visible role models
These aren’t abstract ideas to us. They connect directly to our purpose: investing, learning and giving back – while creating more opportunities for women to participate in the investment ecosystem.
We also believe this is about more than gender. It is about making sure talented founders have access to capital, networks, knowledge and decision-makers who can see their potential.
The UK has a huge opportunity here. The Invest in Women Taskforce estimates that £250bn could be added to the UK economy if women started and scaled businesses at the same rate as men.
The Manifesto is a call for action across government, investors, educators and the wider ecosystem.
We’re very much aligned with that call.
More women investing. More women making investment decisions. More women founders getting the opportunity to grow.
That is the change we want to be part of.

Money and wealth creation is not a topic that women often discuss, and we would like to change that.
Women are often accused of being more risk adverse, we call it more risk aware.

We need more women to become angel investors in order to ensure we are more broadly represented in the business ecosystem. Only 14% of UK investors are women, and yet we are 50% of the consumer base.
We need to encourage our female entrepreneurs, to think audaciously and ambitiously, and to take their seat at the table.
